Thann Collegiate Church

@VisitAlsace
After Strasbourg Cathedral, Thann Collegiate Church is one of the most representative buildings of Rhenish Gothic architecture in Alsace, combining the three forms of Gothic style: primitive, radiant and flamboyant. It owes its name to the college of canons who settled there in 1442. Construction of this monument took more than two centuries, from the end of the 13th century to 1516. The west façade is adorned with a remarkable triple tympanum portal featuring more than 500 figures. Inside are the Saint Thiébaut Chapel and the Chapel of the Virgin. In the choir, you can admire the 15th-century stalls and stained glass windows.
