Markstein and Grand Ballon stations:

Markstein is a French resort for winter sports, summer sports and relaxation, located in the Vosges mountains, part of the Ballons des Vosges Regional Nature Park, at an altitude of between 1,020 and 1,268 metres on the Route des Crêtes. Things to see and do: Tobogganing, mini golf, archery, hiking (GR5), mountain biking, cycling, paragliding, downhill skiing, cross-country skiing, snowboarding, snowshoeing, ski school, restaurants, farmhouse inns, accommodation and mountain huts, etc.

La Bresse Station

La Bresse Hohneck is the largest ski area in north-eastern France, located between 900 and 1,350 metres above sea level. In winter, it offers more than thirty slopes suitable for all levels, served by around fifteen modern ski lifts, with the option of night skiing or skiing at sunrise. With its “Famille Plus” label, it provides play areas for children. The ESF welcomes young and old alike to learn winter sports. In summer, the resort becomes a leisure destination in the heart of nature with its Bike Park, mountain bike trails, hiking trails and toboggan run.

Ballon d’Alsace station

The Ballon d’Alsace, rising to 1,247 metres, is a family resort classified as a Natura 2000 site. In winter, visitors can enjoy downhill skiing, cross-country skiing, snowshoeing and sledging.
The ESF will help you learn to ski.
In summer, it becomes a playground for hiking, mountain biking, paragliding and other nature activities, with superb panoramic views.

Larcenaire Station in Bussang

The Larcenaire resort, located in Bussang in the Vosges, is the closest ski area to our cottage, just a 15-minute drive away. This family-friendly resort is ideal for beginners and families. In winter, it offers a few downhill ski slopes. Access is easy from Bussang, with well-maintained roads.
